About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Financial Consultant to join our team at Vaco. This is a 3-6 month opportunity that requires a high level of financial expertise and experience in planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan for month end cycle and follow up with the accounting team for execution
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial reporting by entity and business unit with high-level commentary on results, comparing actuals to budget, forecast and prior year, and investigate any drivers of significant variances
  • Prepare annual consolidated financial statements, including note disclosures and quarterly MD&A
  • Prepare lender presentations on a quarterly basis
  • Oversee the validity and accuracy of the Daily Flash and Weekly Vital Signs reports
  • Plan for interim and annual external audit and liaise with the auditors
  • Foster a positive work environment and help train and develop staff
  • Play an active role in finance-related projects, including systems and process improvements, finance initiatives, and ad-hoc projects
  • Draft Standard Operating Procedures

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in finance and accounting, preferably with a CPA or near completion. Experience in manufacturing industry, client base, and presenting data and documenting variance analysis is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is also necessary. Experience in a high-volume, multi-location organization and working with accounting software is an asset.
