Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Rotogravure Press Specialist to join our team at Polynova Industries Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating rotogravure presses and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mount plates or cylinders and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal print quality.
  • Filling ink fountains and controlling colour and viscosity to achieve desired results.
  • Setting up the press and operating at slow speed to check samples before proceeding with the regular press run.
  • Monitoring the press run for quality using the computer control console and making adjustments as needed.
  • Removing and cleaning plates and cylinders at the end of the press run.
  • Setting up and adjusting in-line binding and finishing equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Directing the press crew to set up, operate, and shut down the press efficiently.

Requirements:

  • 5 years or more of experience in operating rotogravure presses.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and make accurate judgements.
  • Flexibility and reliability in a team environment.
