About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Tax Technician to join our North America Shared Services Centre Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Canadian and US sales taxes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify sales tax reports to ensure correct application by suppliers and implement corrective measures to prevent future errors.
  • Analyze tax reports to ensure accuracy of tax determination on sales and purchases, making necessary changes to the source system to avoid repetition of errors.
  • Raise awareness among departments involved in the sales tax process about the importance of accurate source data.
  • Participate in the sales tax reporting process and contribute to the renewal of exemption certificates provided by BRP dealers.
  • Produce various tax and regulatory reports.
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate in administration, office automation, accounting, or a relevant field.
  • Experience in sales taxes is an asset, but not mandatory.
  • Good understanding of IT and ability to learn new software and features.
  • Discipline, meticulousness, organization, and autonomy.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, given interaction with colleagues in Mexico and the United States.
