Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating and ensuring compliance of Landing Gear to requirements and functional integrity (Performance, Hardware, Software, and interfaces).
  • Leading technical aspects of design changes within the Integrated Team, including: development, validation, verification, and definition of design change solution support; execution of testing program design change qualification, integration, and certification; implementation of changes in production and in-service review; creation and approval of engineering documentation.
  • Fostering collaboration with system suppliers on technical matters under your responsibility; reviewing supplier's engineering deliverables and qualification documentation.
  • Driving technical aspects of Continuing Airworthiness emerging issues related to Landing Gear, under your responsibility; supporting investigation projects to ensure robust Root Cause Investigation and Corrective Action; findings from review of design, inspection, or testing in-service events production snags.
  • Supporting other departments, including engineering functions, In-Service, Maintenance, Program Office, Procurement, Marketing; Methods; Logistics, Quality.
Requirements

As an ideal candidate,

  • You hold a University degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry, having exposure to various Landing Systems architectures and designs.
  • You possess extensive knowledge of Landing Gear design features, Shock Strut performance, Retraction/Extension, and Steering Systems and components.
  • You have a solid understanding of Landing Gear Aircraft controllers and aircraft interfacing systems and communications.
  • You are familiar with Aircraft Certification processes and regulations (CAR525/FAR 25).
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal competency and professional ethic.
  • You can work with minimal supervision in a team environment and adapt to dynamic situations with multiple priorities.
  • You have good knowledge of CATIA V5/ENOVIA.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
