The successful candidate will oversee the output of the Contracts team to ensure that they are up to a high standard in line with the Company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements. They will also ensure that specific contract management activities are conducted to the highest quality, ethical and general business-standard.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables. They will also possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment, and have a high attention to detail and solid knowledge of commercial law.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the output of the Contracts team to ensure that they are up to a high standard in line with the Company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  2. Ensure that specific contract management activities are conducted to the highest quality, ethical and general business-standard.
  3. Provide guidance to Site supervisors and construction manager with regards to the Contractors scope of work and what may constitute a variation.
  4. Draft and circulate for approval Site Instruction and Contract Variations.
  5. Liaise with Contractors such that progress reporting and invoicing are received in a timely fashion and work to verify claimed progress as accurate.
  6. Ensure that communication with contractors, claims or disputes are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  7. Assist with the creation, implementation and maintenance of Contract execution Procedures and Processes to improve overall efficiency.
  8. Provide accurate and timely advice on commercial matters.
  9. Adhere to Company's Policy's and obtain the appropriate internal approvals prior to making any contractual commitments.
  10. Communicate immediately (or as described in the applicable project plan) with the Construction Manager on matters that might affect the project goals.
  11. Drive internal initiatives to encourage compliance, diligence and integrity throughout the project.
