Technical Writer – Senior

AMANST Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer – Senior to join our team for a contract opportunity with the Government of Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop professional technical project and user documentation, including systems and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create high-quality documentation.
  • Research and gather related policies and practices to develop guidelines for the project.
  • Ensure all documentation is accessible and compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience in creating technical documentation, system policies, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in technical writing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams and a wide range of audiences.
  • Proficiency in English and knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in publishing content on websites.
  • Strong collaboration and listening skills to capture necessary information.
  • Ability to validate technical documentation and confirm documentation aligns with expected/required product functionality.
