Horticultural Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Horticultural Project Manager to join our team at HML Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our landscape construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing landscaping projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Manage multiple landscaping projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Survey and assess designated sites to determine project requirements and feasibility.
- Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Plan and execute water and fertilization schedules for lawns, gardens, and plants, ensuring optimal health and growth.
- Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting treatment solutions to maintain plant health and appearance.
- Assess the health of lawns and diagnose problems and diseases in trees and shrubs, implementing corrective measures as needed.
- Develop and implement plans for the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other uses.
- Oversee the planting and maintenance of private and public lawns and gardens, ensuring they meet client expectations.
- Plant and move trees, considering factors such as soil quality, sunlight, and wind direction.
- Bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape architecture, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction, project management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and other relevant software.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Experience with automated irrigation systems, fieldstone paths, interlocking brick, and other specialized landscaping techniques.
- Knowledge of horticultural consulting, plant knowledge, and identification.
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, industrial, and park and recreation site landscapes.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and develop effective solutions.
This role requires working outdoors in various locations, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You must be comfortable working in noisy environments, standing for extended periods, and performing physically demanding tasks.
