Foot Care Nurse

Job Summary:
The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Foot Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Foot Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality foot care services to patients, including those with diabetes, seniors, and individuals with chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat foot conditions, including diabetic foot care, nail care, and wound care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.
- Provide education on foot health and services to patients, community residents, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new innovative models of care in limb preservation.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
- Member of the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (preferred).
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly respond to patients and situations with resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
