Job Summary
Halton Healthcare Services is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will work with acute medical and surgical populations, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered care to individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Administer medications and perform physical assessments as required.
- Participate in wound care, enteral feeding, and maintenance of IV lines.
- Utilize electronic documentation systems to record patient information.
- Develop and maintain strong communication skills to foster teamwork and cooperation.
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card upon hire.
- Experience working with and advocating for the elderly.
- Medication administration certification and experience.
- Physical assessment and wound care skills.
- Enteral feeding experience and maintenance of IV lines.
- Experience with electronic documentation.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
