Your Role

The Procurement Lead is responsible for leading or supervising a team of Buyers and Order Administrators in day-to-day procurement activities. You will be reporting directly to the Procurement Manager.

Location: Mississauga, ON

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Procurement Activities for various projects
  2. Review purchasing documents
  3. Interface with Project Management
  4. Lead Supplier negotiations and Kick-off Meetings for procurement
  5. Create and Issue Procurement packages
  6. Interface with Clients for Review and Approval of Procurement packages
  7. Ensure procurement data integrity and project status updates at all times

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Buying/Expediting complex Procurement packages or equivalent
  • Knowledge in Manufacturing, experience at supplier facilities
  • Knowledge of contract terms and conditions
  • Experience in Quality program standards and processes related to supply chain (All levels)
  • Understanding of the financial system, invoicing/milestone payments, Levels of Authority, Ethics/Compliance/Integrity Controls, HSE Requirements/Complex Service contracts including Construction contracts and union trades
  • Knowledge of Contract Law and competitive bidding best practices

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
