Procurement Lead Role at AtkinsRéalis

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Lead to join our team at AtkinsRéalis, a leading nuclear engineering group in Canada. As a Procurement Lead, you will be responsible for leading procurement activities for various projects and business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise procurement activities for projects and business units.
  2. Review purchasing documents and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Supervise and mentor junior procurement staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  4. Interface with project management to ensure procurement activities are aligned with project objectives.
  5. Lead supplier negotiations and create procurement packages.
  6. Interface with clients to review and approve procurement packages.
  7. Ensure procurement data integrity and project status updates at all times.
  8. Oversee completion of non-conformances and periodic supplier/shop oversight visits.
  9. Resolve supply chain issues as they arise.

Requirements:

  1. Post-secondary education preferred.
  2. SCMP certification or enrollment in SCMP programs is desirable.
  3. Minimum 10 years of experience in buying/expediting complex procurement packages or equivalent.
  4. Knowledge of manufacturing, experience at supplier facilities, and knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
  5. Experience in supplier negotiations and quality program standards and processes related to the supply chain.
  6. Understanding of the financial system, invoicing/milestone payments, levels of authority, ethics/compliance/integrity controls, HSE requirements, and complex service contracts including construction contracts and union trades.
  7. Knowledge of contract law and competitive bidding best practices.
  8. Ability to mentor junior procurement staff and lead and supervise procurement activities for projects and business units.
