Network Infrastructure Specialist

At BMO Financial Group, we're seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, evaluating, and maintaining our existing and future IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network infrastructure solutions to ensure efficient and seamless IT system operation
  • Plan, acquire, and coordinate the installation of infrastructure devices across the enterprise
  • Administer automated workflow tools, middleware application servers, and server visualization technologies
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between Infrastructure and other IT teams, vendors, and partners
  • Diagnose complex network, storage, and server issues and implement corrective solutions
  • Track vulnerabilities, apply remediations, and patches to network and server assets
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine the likelihood of proposed project success in the current environment
  • Administer automated workflow tools, middleware application servers, and server visualization technologies to maximize efficiency
  • Provide proactive network/server monitoring to ensure optimum performance and act on real-time alerts of critical issues
  • Perform hardware, software, and firmware upgrades - research and recommend network upgrades
  • Manage and coordinate the release of changes into production applying standardized procedures and minimizing risk to existing services

Requirements:

  • Typically between 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience
