We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Distributel Communications Limited.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the proactive management of ICG's voice and data services, including the maintenance, troubleshooting, and expansion of our integrated network-monitoring suite of performance monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, correlate, and report faults, identify events and trends, evaluate and correct service performance monitoring issues
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
  • Manage network servers and technology tools, ensuring security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
  • Develop and maintain modern monitoring solutions, and experience with synthetic monitoring platforms
  • Understanding of Web server configurations, networking concepts, security principles, and data protection mechanisms
Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • ~3 years of Systems Administration or Analysis Experience (Unix/Linux) is must
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of Monitoring tool and SNMP
  • Familiar with Cisco and Juniper Network devices (Routers, Switches)
  • Basic skills with PowerShell, Bash, Perl, PHP, Python, and Groovy Scripting Languages
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields are a plus
