Job Title: Journeyman/Woman Plumber

VEP Mechanical Ltd is seeking a skilled Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and certified Plumber to work on various plumbing projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, pipe fitting, and water supply networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layouts.
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on plumbing tasks.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plumbing.
  • Plumber Trade Certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Confined Space Entry Training.
  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
