We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at VEP Mechanical Ltd. As a key member of our plumbing crew, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in various locations.
Key Responsibilities- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on plumbing techniques and best practices.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
- Plumber Trade Certification.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Confined Space Entry Training.
- Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various locations, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential settings.
