Responsibilities:

* Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
* Instruct apprentices and locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
* Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
* Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
* Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
* Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
* Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size

Requirements:

* 2 years of experience in plumbing
* Plumber Trade Certification
* First Aid Certificate
* Confined Space Entry Training
* Plumber Red Seal Certificate
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
