About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Asia Pacific Trade development efforts as a Director, National Sea Logistics Development, Asia Pacific. This role will be responsible for driving the overall strategy in alignment with company goals across Canada, partnering with the manager and respective sales teams across Canada as a subject matter expert on trade and sea logistics-specific strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Asia Pacific Trade, aligning with company objectives and growth targets.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and prepare solutions for client needs, leveraging market knowledge and network opportunities.
  • Support client presentations and provide market updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel internationally and domestically to drive growth and collaborate with overseas offices.
  • Other duties as required to support the success of the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a sea logistics environment.
  • Strong foundation in sea freight sales, operations, pricing, carrier network, and trade lane knowledge.
  • College or University diploma or degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is an asset.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service skills, with experience dealing with high-level customers.
  • Presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead in a team environment.
  • Dispute resolution skills.
