Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Supply Replenishment: Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Packing and Portioning: Package take-out food and portion and wrap foods for customers.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and receive payments.
  • Point of Sale: Operate our cash register and process credit card payments.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

We are committed to supporting newcomers and refugees in their integration into our community. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will have the opportunity to participate in our program and make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Language Training: Support social and labour market integration by facilitating access to language training and skills training.
  • Credential Recognition: Assist with foreign credential recognition to help newcomers and refugees advance in their careers.
Support for Youth:

We are dedicated to supporting youth employment and providing opportunities for young people to gain valuable work experience. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will have the chance to participate in our program and make a difference in the lives of youth.

  • On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Welcoming Environment: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Indigenous People:

We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for Indigenous people. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will have the opportunity to participate in our program and make a positive impact on the lives of Indigenous workers.

  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

Work Environment: Our team is committed to providing a positive and supportive work environment. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of dedicated and passionate individuals.

Language: English is the primary language spoken in our workplace.

Hours: 30-36 hours per week.
