Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Worker

Alcop Resource Recycling Inc. is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions and installations
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Cut grass and maintain lawns to ensure a well-manicured look
  • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor areas
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed
  • Lay sod or seed to repair damaged areas
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep management informed
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and well-being
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient operation
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Work under pressure to meet maintenance schedules
  • Perform repetitive tasks to maintain outdoor spaces
  • Handle heavy loads and equipment
  • Work in physically demanding conditions, including extreme temperatures and weather conditions
  • Have attention to detail to ensure high-quality work
  • Combine sitting, standing, walking, and bending to perform tasks
