Job Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at SO ASIA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are sanitized and stored properly.

About the Role

This is a permanent position with 35 hours per week. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all food preparation areas are clean, safe, and well-organized. You will also be responsible for handling heavy loads, working in a fast-paced environment, and performing repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment after each use
  • Organize and store supplies, including cleaning products and linens
  • Assist with food preparation, such as washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit
  • Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen area
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including floors, walls, and appliances

Requirements

  • High school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
  • Efficient interpersonal skills
  • Reliability
  • Team player

Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a physically demanding workload. This role requires the ability to handle heavy loads, work in a busy environment, and perform repetitive tasks.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.
