Vet et Nous is a dynamic multidisciplinary team of veterinarians and specialists dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our clients' pets. Our mission is to provide a supportive and collaborative environment where our team members can thrive and grow.
We have multiple emergency and reference centers open 24/7, as well as several general practice hospitals and clinics across the greater Montreal, Laval, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudiere, Mauricie, Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, and Quebec region.
Your RoleAs our Medical Director, you will play a key role in leading our veterinary team. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the veterinarians, ensuring they provide professional and quality service while upholding the values of our company.
You will work closely with the regional medical director to implement exemplary medical practices and develop training programs to keep our team members' skills up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the onboarding and integration of new veterinarians, providing adequate training and support.
- Plan and conduct performance appraisals for team members during their probationary period and for periodic evaluations.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including supervision on the floor, answering questions, and providing guidance.
- Train and motivate key team members to ensure proper succession management.
- Collaborate with veterinarians to address medical-related complaints from clients.
- Work with the regional medical director to identify training needs and plan training activities.
- Promote adherence to best medical practices among team members.
- Plan, facilitate, and follow up on team meetings to ensure effective communication.
- Carry out pharmacy/medicine management.
- Identify and lead medical operations plans to ensure progress and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proficiency in French written and spoken.
- Veterinary doctor with 5 years of experience in a general practice hospital setting.
- Good stress management skills.
- Ability to manage priorities efficiently.
