Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Ptarmigan Inn. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a high level of cleanliness.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Participate in programs that support persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees.
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
- Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, including language training and skills development.
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Will train on the job.
- 35-40 hours per week.
- English language proficiency.
