A highly motivated human resources professional is sought to lead the development and implementation of the Human Resources Strategic Plan at a leading provider of child and youth mental health services in Ontario.

The Director, People and Culture will be responsible for elevating the employee experience, fostering an inclusive work environment, and developing an employer of choice strategy that aligns with the organization's vital role in the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a long-term Human Resources strategy that includes compensation, performance management, recruitment, leadership development, succession planning, and labour relations.
  • Elevating the people-centered culture by attracting, retaining, developing, and motivating employees through a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Leading the health, safety, and wellness strategies to promote a psychological safe environment for all employees.
  • Embracing, encouraging, and modeling behaviours that elevate Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging as a core value and principle.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
  • CHRP/CHRL designation.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources leadership role with a demonstrated ability to lead with strategic foresight.
  • Extensive labour relations experience combined with exposure to negotiations and managing grievances.
  • Not-for-profit, government-funded agency experience is a strong asset.
  • Philosophy of fairness, equity, and accountability in your approach to human resources.
  • Strong and extensive knowledge of up-to-date human resources practices, trends, and legislation.
