Job Summary

The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within the Paper Excellence warehouse and shipping operations. This role will oversee the scheduling of shipping activities, monitor manning requirements, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain department procedures to improve safety and productivity.
  • Ensure crews are trained on jobs they are required to perform and maintain accurate training records.
  • Schedule shipping activities and monitor manning requirements daily.
  • Approve timecards, authorize leaves, and notify the payroll department.
  • Maintain and develop loading plans for internal and external warehouse shipments.
  • Manage product activity and inventory levels in the warehouse.
  • Supervise landfill areas to meet all regulations of the Waste Management Branch and the Pollution Control Board permits.
  • Manage resources for the safe and accurate loading of ships, barges, rail, truck, and container shipments.
  • Manage inbound and outbound vehicle traffic and maintain roll handler, crane equipment, and mobile equipment used in shipping operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
