Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
Job Description:
As a Shipping Supervisor at Paper Excellence, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Leadership: Develop and maintain safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Operational Management: Oversee shipping activities, including scheduling, crew management, and inventory control.
- Training and Development: Ensure employees receive necessary training and indoctrination on safety protocols and equipment operation.
- Crew Management: Supervise and manage crews, including approving timecards and authorizing leaves.
- Loading and Unloading: Coordinate the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing delays.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and standards.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in MS Office and other software applications.
