  • Education:
  • Qualifications: Chandigarh Construction Inc. is seeking a qualified individual with a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Supervise and lead a team of workers
    • Apply successive coats of compound to seams and joints, and sand to a smooth finish
    • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
    • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure durability
    • Filling joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
    • Finishing corners and angles, and creating decorative designs in the finish coat as required
    • Measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing drywall sheets
    • Mixing plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
    • Moulding and installing ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
    • Spraying acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings
    • Attaching metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
    • Cutting openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
    • Installing vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation
    • Preparing wall and ceiling layouts
    • Operating CADD and other computer software systems
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in drywall installation
