About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at McLean Hospital, a world leader in the treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency. As a Registered Nurse in our ECT/TMS/Ketamine program, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate and long-term nursing care needs for patients receiving ECT/TMS/Ketamine, adhering to departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure smooth patient flow and effective care coordination.
  • Conduct pre-treatment assessments, monitor treatment progress, and manage post-anesthesia recovery for patients.
  • Utilize multiple data sources to identify potential health issues, functional status, and safety concerns, and communicate patient needs with the treatment team.
  • Establish a therapeutic alliance with assigned patients, initiate and continue pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation, and EKG monitoring, and promote interventions that provide the least-restrictive and safest recovery.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
  • No experience required, one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Basic computer skills to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
