Mental Health Specialist 20 hrs Days Neurotherapeutics

McLean Hospital is a leading psychiatric hospital committed to providing high-quality mental health services. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering patient care and participating in therapeutic milieu.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain professional boundaries
- Participate in patient rounds and teams
- Accurately document patient information and progress
- Identify and de-escalate crisis situations
- Communicate patient status to the Registered Nurse
- Follow established Nursing policies and protocols
- Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups
- Provide and supervise recreation and other off-hall activities
- Assist patients with daily living activities
- Initiate activities to maintain a clean and organized environment
- High School diploma or GED required
- Prefer two years of college plus one year of clinical experience
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in collaboration with others
