Fort McMurray, Canada McLean Hospital Full time

At McLean Hospital, we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Registered Nurse in our Neurotherapeutics unit, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

The ECT/TMS/Ketamine nurse is responsible for providing immediate and long-term nursing care needs of patients receiving ECT/TMS/Ketamine within the standards of the department, hospital, and regulatory agencies. This includes pre-treatment assessment, treatment monitoring, and post-anesthesia recovery management.

As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care to our patients. This includes utilizing the nursing process to determine actual/potential health issues, functional status, and safety concerns. You will also communicate patient condition and need for altered care with the treatment team and prioritize patient care needs.

In addition, you will establish a therapeutic alliance with assigned patients, initiate and continue pulse oximetry, oxygen saturation, and EKG monitoring throughout treatment and recovery. You will also demonstrate safe, accurate, and timely monitoring of cardiac and respiratory status and promote interventions that provide the least-restrictive and safest recovery.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional care and working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, we encourage you to apply.
