About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our high-rise construction projects in Ottawa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage high-value projects (over $150 million) from planning to completion, ensuring they meet design, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with project teams, trade contractors, architects, consultants, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety, and quality control.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including project teams, trade contractors, and clients.
  • Conduct site tours, safety inspections, and lead by example to ensure policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to.
  • Ensure comprehensive project close-out, including finalizing documentation and obtaining necessary certifications.
  • Mentor, coach, supervise, and assess the performance of direct reports and team members.
  • Assist in securing new work by participating in estimates, working with sub-contractors, and participating in proposals and presentations.
  • Lead negotiation of claims and disputes with the owner and sub-trades.
Requirements
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in engineering or construction management.
  • 8+ years of relevant mid/high-rise project management experience.
  • Experience managing high-value projects (over $100 million).
  • Project management experience of at least two full-cycle, high-value, high-rise builds.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software programs, including Jonas Premier, Plan Grid, and Blue Beam.
  • Knowledge of relevant construction law and building codes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
