Job Overview
">We are seeking a Youth Mental Health Professional to join our team in Richmond, BC. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to youth experiencing significant mental health and/or substance use challenges.
">Key Responsibilities

- Assess and diagnose mental health issues in youth, including substance use disorders.">
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.">
- Provide counseling and therapy services to promote mental health and well-being.">
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities to build relationships with youth and their families.">
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.">
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research projects within the organization.">
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- A current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).">
- Two years' recent, related experience working with youth experiencing significant mental health and/or substance use challenges in a youth-specific setting combined with specialty training in adolescent psychiatry or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.">
- Demonstrated ability to assess clients at risk and knowledge of appropriate acts; Mental Health Act as it relates to the rights of clients and staff.">
- Knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures that relate to patient care.">
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.">
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.">
