Job Description
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Older Adult Mental Health team within Richmond Mental Health Services. The ideal candidate will have experience working with older adults and a strong understanding of the complexities of mental health care.
About This Role
In this role, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to clients with mental health conditions. You will be responsible for assessing clients' physical and cognitive abilities, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing evidence-based interventions to promote recovery and independence.
Your Responsibilities
- Assess clients' physical and cognitive abilities to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote recovery and independence.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to address clients' mental health needs.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
Your Qualifications
- Current full registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- Experience working with older adults and individuals with mental health conditions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
