Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Portfolio Manager to lead our Total Fund Management team in Toronto, Canada. As a key member of our investment strategy team, you will be responsible for shaping and defining research initiatives aligned with our strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Economist, you will play a pivotal role in influencing key investment decisions within our Total Fund Management department.

You will partner closely with other investment teams and functional groups, including the Global Investment Strategy team. This position offers the opportunity to shape and strengthen key relationships with deal teams and senior leaders within the Investment Division.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Support research into the development of various indicators in areas such as the economic cycle and monetary policy.
  • Shape the Global Macro Insights agenda and build its brand and credibility.
  • Conduct macro research with a regional focus and take the lead on coverage of a major asset class.
  • Advanced quantitative and econometric expertise, with proven experience applying these skills to portfolio construction and investment strategy modeling.
  • Strong ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Python is an asset.
