Job Summary
The Canadian Press is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our bureaus, head office, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages.
- Manage and support MS Active Directory, MS Azure, and email systems such as MS Office 365.
- Utilize scripting to efficiently deploy changes across multiple systems and platforms.
- Respond to antivirus and malware threats detected on systems.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Support team processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- College or university education in the relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Excellent skills working with Microsoft Windows computers, Apple Mac devices, and mobile devices.
- Strong skills of device and patch management tools such as SCCM, or Intune.
- Proven experience working with MS Active Directory, MS Azure, MS Exchange, and Office 365.
- Knowledge of patch management, firewalls, and security/threat prevention systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Communication skills in French is an asset.
- Experience in AWS is preferred.
Licenses or Certifications:
- A+, Microsoft, and other technology-related certifications are preferred.
