Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Write orders for treatment and medications, and monitor ongoing care.
  • Establish priorities for management of health conditions, and provide follow-up treatment.
  • Communicate with patients and families about health findings, diagnoses, treatment, self-care, and prognosis.

Requirements

  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
