Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at 2799470 ONTARIO INC. as a key member of our transportation department. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining a fleet of trucks, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Drive and maintain a variety of trucks, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and handled.
  • Obtain Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure that vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Record and Report: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and submit reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A college diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Licenses and Certifications: A valid Class 1 or A driver's license, and an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including remote areas, and will be required to travel for extended periods.
  • Physical Demands: The job requires the ability to lift heavy loads, and to work in a physically demanding environment.
