Chef Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at 2500402 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Special Meals: Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas.
  • Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Event Planning: Clean kitchen and work areas.
  • Operations Management: Organize buffets and banquets.
  • Overall Management: Manage kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
