Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Estate Litigation Lawyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing estate litigation files, providing legal services and advice to clients, and working collaboratively with our team to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and managing estate litigation files, including dependent's support claims, passing of accounts, executor disputes, guardianship and capacity litigation, will challenges, and beneficiary rights advancement.
  • Providing expert advice and representation to clients in estate-related matters, including trust administration, probate applications, and power of attorney work.
  • Developing and implementing effective strategies to resolve estate disputes and achieve client goals.
  • Working collaboratively with our team to provide exceptional client service and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Good standing with the Law Society of Ontario (LSO).
  • Experience and exposure to estates, trusts, wills, power of attorney, capacity matters.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively to manage a busy caseload with supervision.
  • Commitment to client-focused service and developing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
