About the Role

As a Senior Accountant, Assurance and Accounting with MNP, you will play a vital role in providing business strategies and solutions to our clients. With a focus on high-potential earnings, we offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle.

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will be responsible for conducting compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements, as well as managing multiple files simultaneously and performing accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition and payroll walk-throughs with clients.

A successful candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to establish effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements
  • Manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts
  • Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition and payroll walk-throughs with clients
  • Summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other relevant reports
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC and IFRS
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles
