Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport U-Haul equipment between locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
  • Maintain a driver log to track transportation activities.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to use mobile transfer programs.
  • D.O.T. certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul).

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
