Job Summary

Agri-Trans Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Optimization: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure all aspects of the vehicle are in good working order.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the vehicle is always in good working condition.
  • Cargo Management: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling procedures.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 32 hours per week.
