The Calgary Airport Authority is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to support the management and implementation of the YYC Airport Authority Emergency Preparedness Program.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of full-scale and table-top exercises as per Canadian Aviation Regulations and Canadian Aviation Security Regulations.
  • Developing realistic scenarios, identifying exercise goals, stakeholders, objectives, and assisting with internal and external debriefs when required.
  • Completing after-action reports when required, assisting with x-Matters in creating and deleting user accounts, and developing a business continuity program.
  • Conducting weekly inspections of the Airport Emergency Operations Centre, creating and updating user manuals, maps, and documents for emergency preparedness training programs.
  • Assisting with developing and delivering emergency preparedness training programs, administrative duties, attending meetings, and preparing minutes for distribution.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Pursuing a diploma or bachelor's degree in emergency management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer programs, including proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to meet deadlines and achieve overall objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to engage collaboratively and effectively with internal and external teams, clients, and other associated stakeholders.
