Job Summary

GS Construction is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and trenchers in various locations, including sewers and water mains, and pipeline construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment
  • Secure special attachments to equipment
  • Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment
Work Environment

You will be working outdoors in a dusty and potentially dangerous environment. Travel expenses will be paid by the employer, and you will be required to work overtime.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
