Petroleum Process Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Process Specialist to join our Fuels & Chemicals R&D Division in the Research & Development Center (R&D). The successful candidate will lead technology development projects related to the direct conversion of crude oil into petrochemicals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement innovative refining and petrochemicals R&D expertise to support existing projects under crude-to-chemicals program.
- Leverage existing R&D facilities, tools, and collaborations with strategic partners to drive technology development from R&D into deployment.
- Benchmark R&D projects against commercial and existing technologies to identify opportunities for improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering and have a strong background in developing chemical engineering calculations and analyzing experimental data. They should also be familiar with simulation software packages such as Aspen Plus/Aspen HYSYS and possess sound experience in project management and strong communication and mentorship skills.
Compensation PackageOur competitive compensation package includes an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, employees receive 38 vacation days, 4 travel days, and 11-13 paid holidays per year. Medical and dental plans are provided, including complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care and subsidized in-Kingdom dental services. Employees may also be eligible for educational assistance, including out-of-kingdom assistance for up to 90% of expenses, with a maximum per child benefit of the lesser of 5x monthly base salary or the company max ($48,000). Single/bachelor status benefits include 60% of monthly base salary.
