Level Designer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Level Designer to join our team at Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro. As a key member of our game development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing immersive game environments for our upcoming AAA title.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the narrative and art teams to understand and implement the overall narrative, gameplay, and artistic vision into expansive and cohesive game worlds.
- Share your knowledge and craft within the level design team to ensure a harmonious blend of visual storytelling and gameplay.
- Design and iterate on the layout, geography, and aesthetics of our game levels, ensuring a seamless player experience.
- Work closely with artists to integrate environmental storytelling elements and maintain visual consistency with the game's overarching art direction.
- Implement and refine gameplay mechanics within the game world, ensuring a holistic, emergent, and engaging player experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of game industry experience as a level designer.
- Experience with narrative design and world design is a plus.
- Good understanding of space, flow, and pacing.
- Good grasp on environmental storytelling, level design principles, and interactive world-building.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Passion for video games and a deep understanding of current industry trends.
- Unreal Engine 5 is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in French and English.
