Production Line Technician

We are seeking a skilled Production Line Technician to join our team at Mondelēz International in Ontario, Canada.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining production line equipment, ensuring high-quality products, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Rotate work stations between feeding finished candy onto the dumping table and inspecting candy quality, ensuring packaged product meets quality standards.
- Communicate material requirements to appropriate personnel.
- Provide support as required to machine operators.
- Responsible for continuously cleaning the area surrounding the work station.
- Maintain general work centre cleanliness, support major line cleaning, and end-of-shift cleaning.
- Responsible for fixing jam-ups.
- Record batch number and time of day for every new pallet of candy.
- Knowledge and understanding of SOP's and work instructions.
- Understand, participate, and support all safety programs, policies, and initiatives within the manufacturing location.
- Responsible for ensuring all packaged product produced meets all GMP and food safety requirements.
- GMP/Food Safety and HACCP training.
- Lockout training.
- WHMIS.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Previous experience using production line type machinery or food processing machinery would be an asset.
- A high level of physical effort in bending, lifting, manual dexterity, standing for long periods, walking, crouching/squatting, reaching forward below waist level and above shoulder level, and repetitive physical demands.
- A minor level of mental effort overall, requiring high attention to detail and repetitive tasks.
The estimated salary for this position is around $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Mondelēz International offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
