HVAC Technician Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HVAC Technician to join a collaborative and supportive team that offers substantial work-life balance, stability, and exciting projects to be part of.

The Opportunity

MT Talent is proud to partner with a reputable HVAC manufacturer's representative offering world-class HVAC solutions across Ontario for over 30 years. As their business flourishes, they are looking to add a new HVAC Technician to their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with top-level support on products.
  • Startup and commission new product installations, working alongside installing contractors to ensure optimal operation.
  • Provide telephone support to installers and service technicians on installation (wiring, piping, programming) and operational issues related to equipment supplied.
  • Work with sales staff to support them in layout and integration of equipment.
  • Liaise with manufacturer's technical support to obtain support documents and technical information that will assist customers with installation and/or configuration of equipment.
  • Provide field support in installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of equipment through its entire life cycle.
  • Support warranty claim processing, working with both contractors and internal sales teams to address product failures in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally attend manufacturer facilities for technical training on product lines.

Requirements

  • G1 gas technician license is required. A license is a definite asset and desired.
  • Current and continuing member of the Ontario College of Trades in good standing.
  • At least 5 years' service experience in the trade working on ICI projects.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) with a proven ability to work with internal teams and customers in a way that represents the company brand and values at all times.
  • Conscientious and diligent with a proactive attitude.
  • Punctual, reliable, strong sense of integrity, and maturity.
  • Strong computer and electronic skills related to HVAC equipment. An ability and willingness to learn new applications is required.
  • Ability to travel within the GTA, including downtown core, Halton, and Southwestern Ontario.
