The Canadian Depository for Securities Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Risk Oversight & Compliance team. As a key contributor to the delivery of our strategic project initiatives, you will enhance our default management practices and ensure risk management initiatives are in compliance with CPSS-IOSCO Principles for Financial Market Infrastructure (PFMI's) and internal policies/procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial risk exposures (market, credit, and liquidity) and validate other components used to manage financial risks.
- Participate in the design of internal policies related to market, credit, and liquidity risks.
- Create and maintain positive relationships with business partners (Architecture, Operations, Legal, IT) to satisfy their needs and anticipate potential issues.
- Provide support in risk measurement, and qualitative and quantitative analysis related to equity, fixed income, derivatives, and structured products.
- Design and operationalize hedging strategies and procedures to manage the default of Clearing Members.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's/Master's degree in finance or the equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial industry with a focus on capital markets and financial risk management.
- Relevant risk management experience in equities, fixed-income, structured products, and derivatives.
- Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines without compromising the integrity of deliverables.
- Proactive initiative and capacity to work independently.
- Expert written and oral communication skills.
