Financial Analyst, Investment Accounting and Financial Reporting

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at PSP Investments. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data from investment accounting systems through various analyses and reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities- Validate the integrity of financial data from investment accounting systems and reconcile transaction journal entries to the general ledger.
- Calculate the net asset value of funds on a monthly basis.
- Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements related to investments.
- Prepare supplementary notes to quarterly and annual financial statements related to investments.
- Prepare various financial management reports on a weekly, monthly, or ad-hoc basis.
- Ensure consistency between financial statements, management reports, and information presented to investment groups.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and controls necessary for the preparation of consolidated financial statements related to investments.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation related to various service procedures.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives within the department.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a specialization in accounting and/or finance.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or in the process of obtaining it, an asset.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in investment accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, including derivatives, and net asset value calculation.
- Experience in preparing financial statements related to investments, an asset.
- Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension (SCD), an asset.
- Excellent Excel skills and ability to learn new systems.
- Strong sense of responsibility and results-oriented attitude.
- Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis, and documentation.
- Proven initiative and curiosity to look beyond apparent facts to conduct thorough, factual, and value-added research.
- Team player with ability to work in a high-performance culture.
- Bilingualism: English and French.
