Adecco Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Bank Teller to join our client's team in Ottawa, ON. This 6-month contract role with possibility of extension offers a competitive salary of $25 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze accounts and data for accuracy, utilizing Excel for data extraction and reporting.
- Process returned items from banking portals and reports.
- Confirm posting of checks and transactions, investigating discrepancies in account activity.
- Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Provide additional distribution and bank transaction information, maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
- Maintain client correspondence files and respond to notices appropriately.
- Record daily time in the company timekeeping system.
- Assist with special projects and duties assigned by the Disbursement Team Supervisor.
- Prepare quarterly and yearly reconciliation reports for income tax purposes.
- Apply for tax identification numbers from government agencies and manage the application process.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Minimum 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience; recent graduates with relevant diplomas will be considered.
- Previous bank teller experience or data entry experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and operational procedures.
- Intermediate Excel and computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail; able to work under pressure.
